The Main MenuThe Main MenuAll the functionality of Cinderella is accessible through the main menu. You will get to know the menu items and how to use them while reading this manual. This little section provides only a rough overview of the different parts of the program that are accessible through the main menu.
FileIn the file menu you can find the usual operations for loading and saving constructions. Unlike the old version of Cinderella, Cinderella.2 is able to handle several constructions in the same application.In the file menu you also have access to various ways of exporting a drawing. You can generate different kinds of image formats, send your drawing to a printer, or create an interactive html page from it. EditThis menu contains tools for copying and pasting parts of a construction. Furthermore, several selection devices are offered. Here you will also find access to the inspector.ModesThe modes menu contains a collection of all items that can be constructed. Here you will find construction tools for all geometric operations, as well as construction tools for the CindyLab objects. The most important ones of these modes are also accessible via toolbars.ViewsHere you can open different views on your construction. For details consult the section Views. Here you can also open the Information Window.ScriptingThis menu item gives you access to the various ways to attach CindyScript code to your construction.ConfigurationHere you can choose the type of geometry you are working in (the default is Euclidean geometry, but you can also work in hyperbolic geometry or elliptic geometry). For details on geometries, please consult the section Geometries. Also you can choose the default formats in which units and equations should be displayed.HelpReferences to online help, updates, and licensing issues.
